1st off...I applaud you for bringing interest to the problem. Now..my husband and I only get 211 a month...Try that which is 13 less than in the paper. You can do it..barely..if you go to safeway and buy marked down meats when you can find it..Winco for canned and produce...BUT..NO ONE talks about the fact that you still need toilet paper (1 roll given out at food banks) soaps...maybe a roll of paper towels..dog food...Seriously...walk in our shoes! Im still out of food at the middle of the month. Not frozen things..but basics, milk, fresh produce. Would love to shop at farmers markets for fresh produce but cant afford it. We even have our own garden, but to can I need "extras"....Keep up the awareness campaign...Without SNAP..we would not eat! Period. But having been "cut" makes it damn near impossible!
